Council of Economic Advisers

The Council of Economic Advisers (CEA) is a three-member body within the Executive Office of the President that provides the president with objective economic analysis and policy recommendations.

Functions

• Monitor macroeconomic trends and labor markets.
• Evaluate policy options and produce the annual Economic Report of the President.
