National Security Council (United States)

The National Security Council (NSC) is a forum within the Executive Office of the President for coordinating national security and foreign policy. Its regular members typically include the president, vice president, secretaries of State and Defense, and other senior officials.

• Develop presidential directives and oversee implementation.
