Growth and funding

The organization has received financial support from prominent conservative donors, including the Koch network and other right-leaning foundations. It reports tens of millions in annual revenue and maintains a large media presence through podcasts, videos, and social media.

Criticism

TPUSA has drawn criticism from academic groups and progressive organizations for its tactics, which opponents argue foster harassment of faculty and increase polarization. Journalists have also scrutinized its finances and links to partisan political activities.
