Arrest

Robinson was identified when his father recognized him from images released by investigators and alerted authorities. He was arrested in Washington County, Utah, about 250 miles from the shooting site. Reports indicate he admitted or implied involvement to a family member prior to his arrest.

Authorities linked Robinson to a Mauser .30-caliber bolt-action rifle recovered near the scene. Casings found carried politically charged slogans and meme-style phrases. Forensic evidence, including footprints and palm prints from the rooftop of the Losee Center, also tied him to the incident.

Officials have not publicly confirmed a motive. Reports suggest Robinson had recently become more politically active and expressed opposition to Kirk, but no definitive explanation has been provided.
